Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly Large Language Models (LLMs), has introduced new forms of interaction between humans and language technologies beyond automated text generation. This study aims to examine how generative AI transforms human language processes, cognitive activities, and meaning construction. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA 2020 framework and thematic analysis was conducted on 38 selected articles published between 2021 and 2026. The findings identified five themes: AI-mediated language production, cognitive offloading, transformation of linguistic practices, differences in human and AI meaning construction, and linguistic identity transformation. This study highlights that generative AI functions as a cognitive extension while human experience, consciousness, and contextual interpretation remain essential for meaning construction.
