Dynamics of Forgiveness in Female Survivors of Sexual Violence and Dating Victims

This study aims to understand the dynamics of the forgiveness process among female survivors of sexual violence in the context of dating. This research method used a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with five participants who experienced sexual violence in dating relationships. The results of this study indicate that the forgiveness process in survivors is complex and influenced by internal factors such as self-acceptance, emotional management, and identity reconstruction. In conclusion, forgiveness does not mean forgetting the incident, but rather freeing oneself from the burden of negative emotions for psychological recovery.
